City commences with road resurfacing in Hazendal

The City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate advises residents; road users; businesses and the wider public of road resurfacing works on the following streets. Read more below:
• Bokmakierie Street between 12th Avenue and 1st Avenue
• Bokmakierie Street between house no. 3 Bokmakierie Street and Downing Street
• Circuit Street between 1st Avenue and 3rd Avenue
• Downing Street between house no. 75 Downing Street and 8th Avenue
• Downing Street between 12th Avenue and Harmonie Street
• Albermarble Street between Kuils Road and house no. 42 Albermarble Street
• Buckner Road between Bothwell Street and house no.12 Buckner Road
• Short Street between 12th Avenue and house no. 6 Short Street
• 15th Avenue between Downing Street and Bokmakierie Street
• 8th Avenue between Kuils Road and house no. 63 Marivy Street
• 5th Avenue between house no. 51 on 5th Avenue and Downing Street
• Bothwell Street between Downing Street and Buckner Road
• 3rd Avenue between house no. 6 on 3rd Avenue and house no. 14 on 3rd AvenueThe project commences this week and will continue until Friday,13 December 2024, if all goes according to plan. Work will take place between 08:30 and 17:00 from Monday to Friday.
‘The road resurfacing in Hazendal forms part of the City’s routine road maintenance programme aimed at extending the lifespan of the City’s road network. Soon residents in Hazendal will enjoy better driving conditions and riding quality. We thank you for your patience while we complete these roadworks. Providing safe and well maintained roads forms part of our efforts to keep Cape Town moving,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Councillor Rob Quintas.
The City of Cape Town advises road users to exercise caution around the work zones, reduce their speed, heed road signs, remain vigilant in the vicinity, watch for uneven surfaces, and be mindful of construction workers.
